About the pictures

Your dating profile should always include a picture. Most women will not even consider watching your profile and answering to your message if you don’t have a picture. Think of it this way. Your dating profile is like a shop inside a shopping mall and your picture is the front window of the shop. A lot of people are passing by but if don’t show anything interesting in your front window, nobody will ever enter. Most dating sites allow users to only search for profiles who have pictures.

You should use a picture that is recent and a decent quality. We should be able to see your face and a nice smile. And please wear a shirt! Even if you hit the gym everyday, you don’t want to come across as a douche bag. It’s also better to have a picture that doesn’t include other people as it may be hard to know which one you are. Without being cheesy, it’s a good idea to have something unusual in your picture that can make you stand out. For example, wearing a special hat or something like that.

This is where you describe yourself in more details. Please don’t start with something negative like ”it feels weird to describe myself…”. You want to come across as a positive and confident man. You want to describe yourself, what you do, what are your interests, tastes and hobbies. Don’t just make a long list of things you like. Instead, pick 1 to 3 things and describe them in details. Talk about how these activities make you feel or something special or funny that happened while doing that activity. Remember that you are writing for women. The keys to connect with a woman are emotions, imagination and humor! And do yourself a favor, double check your grammar. A well written profile with no grammar errors shows that you are smart, educated and that you care.

Be honest and be different
